The implementation of the project &#8220;STEM Academy&#8221; began on June 29, 2021. and has a total duration of two years. The project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund. The project was co-financed by the Office for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The total value of the project is HRK 1,224,392.86. The project is implemented in cooperation with partners: the Institute for the Development of Education, the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, University of Zagreb and the University of Algebra.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>The STEM Academy project aims to strengthen the capacities of the two civil society organizations to popularize STEM among young people. The target group within the project are civil society organizations whose activities want to contribute to the popularization of STEM areas among children and youth, or end users of this project.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>Through project activities aimed at strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations and cooperation with academic partners in the project, it seeks to popularize the STEM area among children and youth.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>By organizing STEM workshops, STEM festivals and one-day events and creating online content, children and young people will be given the opportunity to develop STEM-related skills, learn about new innovative learning methods and ways to achieve discoveries and results in STEM.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>Through its activities, the project will have multiple impacts on end users and the community, and its benefits are reflected in:<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">&#13;\n<li>strengthening competencies for society 21. century<\/li>&#13;\n<li>encouraging logical-mathematical intelligence<\/li>&#13;\n<li>promoting digital and technological literacy<\/li>&#13;\n<li>affect the strengthening of self-awareness<\/li>&#13;\n<li>empowering civil society organizations planning to implement the STEM program<\/li>&#13;\n<\/ul>&#13;\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#13; &#8220;STEM Academy&#8221; is a project of the Croatian Office for Creativity and Innovation (HUKI).
